Yield draught is ending

For more than a decade, after the #gfc, only 20-25% of all bonds in the world have been yielding more than 4%. Only #emergingmarkets debt and global #highyield were above that mark. With current tight monetary conditions and the change in investors sentiment, however, almost 2/3 of bonds are now above that mark. The problem is, real returns are still negative due to high inflation. Fixed income markets have corrected part of the excesses provoked by #zirp but they may still need some additional clean up to find support from new money willing or accept the risk.
