There is some interesting developments on the geopolitical front. It appears that Ukraine is playing chess with the U.S. to force escalation as a desperate move to avoid losing the war. As a result, the U.S. has given Ukraine a green light to use long range missiles (operated by U.S. soldiers) against targets inside Russia. As a consequence of that, Putin has “updated” the nuclear doctrine, whereby Moscow will consider aggression from any non-nuclear state – but with the participation of a nuclear country – a joint attack on Russia. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will view launches of US-made longer-range missiles as a “new phase of war” by the West. This morning, Ukraine is reporting that Russia has used an intercontinental ballistic misile during an attack. And just like that, the U.S. might be at war with Russia. And since Israel, backed by the U.S. as well, has bombed nuclear facilities in Iran, and China buys 90% of its oil from them, China might be in the picture as well. All of that, with less than 40 days left for the current US administration.
